Little builders

Today Colin and I took a break from unpacking and went the the Virginia beach aquarium. I had never been but had seen an advertisement for an exhibit they have called Little Builders. It was a dream come true for colin. He got to wear a hard hat and orange vest and then move cranes around and play with trucks. He figured out how to move the crane pretty fast. You have to use your arms and use those levers to move the crane up and down but then you use your feet on these bicycle pedals to move the crane around in circles. (A 9 year old couldn't figure it out - but Colin could) We didn't get to see much of the museum as he stayed in with the trucks all morning. It was really fun and Colin absolutely loved it.

Future building construction major from Tech? Seems to have a knack for mechanical things and working with tools.

I may have mentioned this before, and if I did I do apologize (darn that mommy brain of mine) but have you introduced him to Bob the Builder yet? 'Cause if you haven't then oh my word you most definitely should - he would love Bob! In fact I guarantee you'd have a sure fire birthday theme idea for next year!

he does have a bob the builder dvd and we would watch bob the builder on tv a lot - esp since he is up very early on saturday mornings. But somehow he doesnt connect his trucks with bob yet. he does point out "rollys" when we see them but he has a few scoops but they are still trucks - or as he says "ba ba pache" But thats a great idea for a birthday party!
