Bike Ride

I took the kids on a bike ride/run yesterday on the dismal swamp canal trail.  The boys rode their bikes and I pushed Norah in the jogging stroller.  The kids really enjoyed it and we ended up going over 5 miles.

On our way home we stopped for slurpees and then came home and got the kids showered/bathed.
Silly girl came out in her winter jammies and a winter hat. Silly girl - the temperature was in the 90s yesterday.

strawberry picking

Today after church we went strawberry picking. We always go to the same strawberry patch and then go eat at Pungo Pizza.  Sometimes I think the kids are more excited about Pungo Pizza than the strawberries, but they are very excited about strawberry shortcake for dessert tonight.

Drivers License

Norah made her own drivers license.  One for her bike and one for her scooter.

wax museum

Colin's class had to pick a famous person, write a report, then become that person for a wax museum they put on for other classes and their parents.  Colin picked Neil Armstrong.  Thanks to pinterest we came up with a costume that turned out better than I was hoping for.

The kids had these button lights in front of them and when someone pushed it they had to recite a short story about their character.  When they were done they reached over and clicked the light off.
Norah and I had fun going around from person to person and learning about their life.  Of course our favorite one was Neil Armstrong.

The kids did a great job. The people ranged from Princess Diana, JFK, Trump, Galieo, Abe Lincoln, Amelia Earhart, Sacajawea, among many others.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had an easeter egg hunt for the kids at my parents house.

Sam is always a huge hit with the kids and helped the hunt for eggs.

And then we sat around and ate the kids candy

The kids and I spent the night with my parents saturday night.  Brent was working all day saturday so he stayed home. But he met us sunday for church.

Then we took the kids to Busch Gardens.  For Christmas Brents dad gave us all Busch Gardens, Water Country Passes. We are really excited for Water Country to open up.

When I was putting Joel to bed he said "so we went on vacation to Ma-Ma-Maas and Grandpas house and then went to Busch Gardens. It was a good trip" Ha!  But a great ending to spring break.
