Competition runs strong in this family

More snow fun

No sled,  no problem.  The day after Christmas the kids were up and out playing in the snow. The ground was icy and carboard worked just as good. Then Uncle Robbie came out and shoveled snow and packed down a sledding run for Grandpa's metal sled. They could sled from the front yard to the back yard.  They were out there most of the day. I don't have any pictures of that because I was inside holding a sleeping baby while she napped and I loved every minute of it.

The kids built a snowman named Gerald.

A few days later it was warm enough for short sleeves but Gerald is still there along with the sledding run last I heard.

Christmas Day

We woke up to a white christmas. The kids were very excited.

Another window, another donut!
Joel and Norah went out in the snow as soon as their stocking (trash bags) were opened.  Norah was convinced the snow would melt quickly and wanted to make sure she got to play in it. My poor beach kids.

They weren't out long. I think the high was 20 degrees and came in to open presents.

It snowed off and on in the morning. Norah said it looked like we were in a real snowglobe.

A year ago Colin wasn't as tall as Mama-maa.

After presents were opened we went outside and played in the snow. When you live on a mountain you don't have to go far to sled. Just down your front yard.

It was good to see this kid smile and enjoy the day.

Unfortunately the snow tube popped on the rocky ground.

Later in the afternoon Mary, Robbie, and Elizabeth came for the rest of the weekend. Elizabeth is the sweetest, most easy going baby.

It was a great Christmas.
