In the meadow we can build a snowman...

50degrees  and 8inches of snow on the ground is perfect conditons to play in. And finally build a snowman.
For the first time this girl outlasted the boys and we had to make her come in for lunch.  She loved it.  And for the first time wasn't screaming "INSIDE" after playing in the snow.
I dont blame her.  The warm sun was fun to play in.
This boy however is over the snow.  "I'm COLD AND WET AND COLD AND WET IS NO FUN" haha but true.  I think I need to make sure we have proper snow gloves for the next round of snow.
But I think Joel's face is hilarious.  We did take him inside shortly after.

Of course Norah's snowman would have necklaces on it :)

Colin had made a few snow forts in the backyard and Norah loved hiding behind one while Brent threw snowballs at her.

She was so cute croching down when he would throw a snowball at her.
Life is starting to go back to normal. And with the 60 degree temps this weekend the snow wont stay around for long.   Brent headed into work this afternoon and Colin is off to a sleepover tonight.  It was so nice to have life stop for a while and just stay home all together for a few days.

more snow

Here are a few pictures from our snowpocalypse.  Colin got out of school an hour early yesterday. It didnt start here until after dinner but after seeing the pictures of all those kids stranded on buses I'm glad va beach made the early release call.  And based on our roads I'm pretty sure we wont have school the rest of the week.
I think this picture sums up what really happened to the dinosaurs - must've been some type of polar vortex!
 Yay Snow Again!!!!
Oh wait I can't move the snow is up to my knees.
 WAHHHHH!!!!!!
 Somebody help me!
 Daddy to the rescue

We've been sledding and now Colin and Brent are shoveling out our elderly neighbors.  I'm hoping the snow melts a little so we can actually build a snowman. Its been so powdery both times. The last time I've seen this much snow was several years ago when James, Sarah, and I built this:
It will always be hard to top that one!
