College

We get college mail for Colin weekly. There are a lot of small school I’ve never heard about.

Joel has always teased me and said he will go to UVA but right now he’s all about being added to both his grandpa and Pops wills so UVA is out at the moment. (He asked for my phone one day and started googling something and he was googling ‘how to be added to your grandparents wills’. Pops probably would welcome UVA but he’s got a better chance with Grandpa! Ha!)

The other day he asked me if Uncle David went to Harvard.

I said no - the University if Richmond.

Joel says ok and walks away but I heard him muttering to himself…”ok so all smart people go to University of Richmond…”

Easter Bunny

Over Spring Break I took Joel and Norah to a local farm to do an easter egg hunt and pick strawberries. The Easter Bunny was there so we tried to get a picture. Brent and Colin were at Busch Gardens.

The egg hunt wasn't too good.  They put 1 m&m in each egg! haha so funny and we had to buy tickets for this.  So my friend said she didn't mind when they ate their weight in strawberries while picking them.

Joel was mortified that I would want him in a picture with the creepy bunny. That is as close as he got.

And this is all he would allow me to send to the family group text.

Spring Break part 2

We spent the last part of spring break camping in Newport News park with friends.

All that yellow is pollen.

It was perfect camping weather.  The campground was practically empty. We only stayed one night.  Strong thunder storms came in the next night so we stayed until the storm got close then packed up and went home.

Sometimes I think we eat better camping than we do at home.

We went from snow and winter clothes to shorts and summer weather.

Spring Break

Now that I'm done with my school, I'm slowly catching up with everything.

We spent the first part of spring break in Blacksburg.

Ant Ant took Joel and Norah to her pottery studio.

Joel made an eel that didnt look like an eel.... more like a certain body part.  I'm very glad that one didn't come out of the kiln.  ha!

We went on a hike.  Crazy we had to bundle up but they were excited to potentially see snow.

And then we got pelted with snow!

The kids called it dip-n-dot snow

Someone - who shall not be named- was complaining about it freezing but if you just look at the weather and wear the warm clothes your mother packed you, then you wouldn't be cold.

We had gotten mom and dad a pizza oven for their birthdays so we made pizzas and tried out the new oven.

It was pretty good, except the buckwheat dough that was made for Joel. Since then I have learned how to make sourdough so I think that will be much better for him.

I got a nap too.

We had a great time and came home to shorts and tshirt weather.
