Spring Break

This year spring break was towards the end of April.  It has been a long few months with no snow days so we were all more than ready to get a break from school. The weather was perfect and it has us counting down until summer.
The first day of break Norah had a roller skating party to go to.  And I was reminded why we have only taken the kids once to skate.  Most of the kids spent the entire time falling.  Norah picked it up quicker than I thought.

Joel took cardboard and a glue gun and made his own catapult and marble run. And he glued a tooth pick to his finger to freak us out a little

We went on a walk one night after dinner in the arboretum.

Norah made sure to tell me several time she was only picking the blooms that had fallen on the ground.

 So many beautiful blooms

We went to the zoo with friends

Norah's favorite thing we did was go to Bergeys and see the baby animals. We got to pet baby rabbits, baby pigs, baby goats, and kittens.

One day Colin went to Busch Gardens with friends so I took Joel and Norah to the military aviation museum. We got to see a plane take off and land and they loved the dinosaur park. I think all their planes but one are in flying condition.

There was a WWII vet there who told us stories of flying some of the planes. He said he only crashed once and showed us the plane he crashed in and how he had to float in the ocean for a few hours until he got picked up.

Colin had a great time at Busch Gardens with friends. This was the first time hes gone without us.  He had $25 dollars to spend for food that day.  Amanda said that he went through the line at lunch and picked pizza, a drink, and some mozzarella sticks. They talked him out of a huge piece of cake.  He got to the check out line and it was $22. She said he looked a little deflated handing over that much money for lunch.
