Yesterday we did our annual blueberry picking. This is one of our favorite things to do in the summer.

This was the first thing I did with two kids after Joel was born. He was two weeks old so I always gage when blueberry season starts by his birthday.

Joel was smart and would sit down under the bushes in the shade and pick his blueberries. It was really hot and the boys were lucky they got to go to swim practice when we were done.
I think the kids ate as many blueberries as they picked. We've already made blueberry muffins and a blackberry cobbler. I left the blueberries on the counter all afternoon and might need to go back to get some more soon since the kids would grab a handful each time they walked by.
