Bath Time

This little boy turns 2 today.  Where has the time gone?  The poor thing has been sick all week.  It started out with a runny nose/waking up a lot at night (nothing new but we thought a molar was coming in)  He threw up in the car Tuesday on the way home from running a quick errand.  Colin and I were both hanging out heads out the window it was so gross.  But then I got to give him a bath when we got home.  Brent is the bath giver around here so it was fun for me to watch Joel in the bath.
He seemed fine after he threw up but was really fussy off and on the next few days.  Then after one really bad night where he kept telling me "ouchy" and "mommy help" over and over we went to the doctor.
He has his first ear infection. And really our first ear infection since Colin has never had one.  So by tomorrow he'll be feeling better.  He was up all night again last night with me.  He's a huge snuggler and at night when he can't sleep he will snuggle right next to you and then give you a big kiss and then try to sleep. And when that doesn't work he will try another position and then give you another kiss and try to sleep.  I got lots of kisses from my sweet baby last night.

He is so mischievous and cute.  When he hears the word no Joel sees that as a challenge.  He's definitely keeping us on our toes around here.  You have to be a step ahead of him all the time.  But he is so fun and full of life.  His new cutest thing is to tell you something and then go "dat funny?" - wanting to be the funny guy and make us laugh.

Brent and the boys went to Chickfila last night for their cow appreciation day.  (I went to get Joel's prescription filled and grocery shop alone!) You had to dress like a cow to get free dinner.  You can tell Joel isn't feeling good poor thing but he wanted to be a cow too and go with Daddy and Bubba.
