Wisconsin

For Thanksgiving we asked everyone to come to our house since we  had a busy few weekends coming up with Colin’s swimming.

Mom, dad, and Sarah got here Wednesday afternoon and we took them to Nauticus to see the Wisconsin all lit up. They started this last year when they couldn’t do their traditional indoor Christmas program. We didn’t make it last year so I was excited to see they had tickets available.

It was worth it and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in going.

Norah remembered this Christmas tree from when they had the Dickens Christmas Town and she talked to him for a long time. At one point the tree asked her what her favorite Christmas song was and she smartly replied ‘Oh Christmas Tree.’ He started singing it when Joel walked in, not knowing it was the tree. When it got to the part “how lovely are my branches” Joel said terrible jokingly. The tree stopped singing and said, “who said that? What a terrible thing to say.” Joel was a little mortified and Norah pointed to Joel saying, “that was my brother.” But the tree reassured Joel that Christmas trees don’t hold grudges, they only hold ornaments.
