Waterfall slides

Back in March I think it was our friends sent us a link to a waterpark in West Virginia and asked if we wanted to join them.  It was all inflatables on a lake and the kids took one look at it and said Yes.  Well all but Joel. He was a little concerned with the safety of some of them.  We quickly booked our cabin and went the last week in July.

On the way up we stopped in Blacksburg for the night then met our friends at Roaring Run Falls.  The kids really enjoyed it. It was a really pretty hike and the falls were a great end to the hike.

They spent hours sliding down the rocks.

The kids searched for slag, the byproduct of pig iron. You could find blue, green or black slag and Joel and Norah made sure we found at least one of each color.

We then headed to our cabins.

I think we may have ruined us all by cabin camping as they called it.  The air conditioning and bathroom made it seem like a huge step up from tent camping!
