So this happened last week.
Colin fell down the stairs and rolled his ankle. He tried not to land on his arm so he fell the other way. We iced it and the next morning when he couldn’t put pressure on it at all I took him into get X-rays.
It took a long time because they had to come back and get extra xrays because the head radiologist at the main hospital was also reviewing them and saw something suspicious.
Thankfully though it’s just a soft tissue sprain and he gets this special shoe to wear for a week. If it still hurts they want him to come back in or they said we could wait until his other orthopedic appointment for his arm and get his foot checked then.
His PE coach is the varsity basketball coach and so far colin hasn’t met him in person because he was quarantined and then broke his arm. He does attend the zoom classes but can’t do much. I had to email the teacher and said that colin can’t even go on his daily walks. Colin is worried the coach will think he’s very accident prone but I told him at least he will remember your name!
I told Colin today that there is a saying that bad luck comes in 3s. His tongue surgery, broken arm, and not foot that’s his quota and it’s all uphill from now on.
