Colorado Springs

Our first day was spent in Colorado Springs.  We went to Seven Falls in the morning and then Garden of the Gods in the afternoon.

Surprisingly we don't have any pictures of the Seven Falls but the park was beautiful. They had a trail map of things to see like the three amigos rocks above.

Joel and NOrahs favorite part was panning for gold. They could've spent hours there.

I finally found these Native shoes that work for Mud Man. They can be washed off and he loved that he could go walking in the river to pan for gold.

We had to climb really steep steps to get to the top of the falls.

We hiked one of the trails at the top of the falls and people were fascinated by seeing some deer.  Brent was too.  Colin whispered to me - "Mom lets keep going. We can see deer in Grandpa and Ma-ma-maas yard. I didn't fly all this way to see deer."

She told me that if she found any gold she would sell it to buy the Target brand American Girl doll ice cream truck.  It started to rain and the kids were hungry so we left to find lunch and then headed to Garden of the Gods.
She was tired of waiting and just wanted to go see the rocks.

Colin amused everyone around us by ranting that Mars is not real that its really the Garden of the Gods.

Joel named this rock DinoSnail.
