Kickball

Right after swimming ended we had a neighborhood kickball and rootbeer float night and invitied the local law inforcement.  Policemen and firemen came.  The kids got to go inside a firetruck and turn on the lights and then the officers played a game of kickball with the kids.

Colin kicked a home run and as he was rounding 3rd base got a little too sure of himself and ran to home backwards... he fell and we all laughed. I told him pride came before a fall.  He got up and played a few more innings then came to me and said his wrist hurt.

Thankfully just a few bruised bones in his hand and he was good to go a week later.  His first thought was that he was so glad it wasn't during swimming season.

His wrapped arm changed a few of our plans so we spent a few days inside playing the longest game of monopoly.  Joel was really pleased with his choice of a playing piece
