cut time
Colin had a team travel meet the beginning of December. Hes been dropping time consistently and trying so hard to get a senior cut time. He swam 100 fly Friday morning and when his time popped up on my phone, he missed his cut time by 0.01 seconds. But then he texted that it got him into finals for that night. We were planning on driving down to Cary the next day, but we picked up Joel and Norah from school early and made it just in time to see him swim it AND get his time. He had no clue we were coming, but he said he saw me and Norah right before he swam. I'm so glad we got to see his reaction to his first cut time.
Its fun watching him swim. High school has started and that's just fun to watch. We had the entire high school swim team over to our house Friday night for a pasta dinner. It's fun that they do that each week. Colin is hoping to make states in high school and then he has two championship swim meets - Districts and then Sr. Champs back and back. February might be a very busy month of swimming.
Halloween
Halloween was a busy weekend.
We dressed up as Mario and Luigi in our classroom.
And Colin's swim team had a trunk or treat so we kept our Mario costumes and added a few more. We won the best over trunk! Which was a Target gift card that we gave to Joel since he sat in the back of the car and handed back the bean bags after kids threw them at the target. Joel refused to dress up for the trunk or treat.
Colin was so funny walking around in that mask.
Then on Halloween night Norah wore her Japanese costume from Angela.
Joel was the alien man again.
Colin and Matthew are too old to trick or treat so they passed out candy. Sadly most of our neighborhood is growing up so we had less kids going around this time. By 7:00 most kids had come and gone.
